This is great, Kevin! How about the Federal Administrative Procedure Sourcebook from ACUS for the Administrative Law section, Reputation and Power (history of the FDA) for the agency history section, and Bureaucracy by James Q. Wilson for the Management section?

Oh, I really like the Reputation and Power suggestion!

I know I need to add the Wilson book at some point. Honestly, the reason I haven't is that it's so famous. It's probably a higher value add to link to forgotten books, I think. Each annotated entry takes surprisingly long to write...

No Wildavsky, The Politics of the Budgetary Process, is shocking. No Savage, Balanced Budgets and American Democracy. Appalling! That said, this is amazing and deserves a medal.

Yep, planning on adding some international stuff at some point. Maybe British budgeting, French civil service, and international municipal administration?
